I was a journalist in Philadelphia, covering stories that mattered, but the pace was unforgiving. After years of building a successful agency while raising kids and managing life in the city, I realized more wasn’t better—it was just more.
So, I made a change. We packed up, moved to Tennessee, and traded city chaos for 12 acres of peaceful farmland. In that transition, Liberty Type was born—not out of a need for more work, but out of a desire for more life.
I discovered that real success is freedom, time, and the joy of living slow. Now, that’s exactly what we create for our clients.
HOW LIBERTY TYPE WAS BORN
Liberty Type started in 2016, born from a desire for freedom—freedom from the relentless grind, the constant noise, and the pressure to always be “on.”
I started as a journalist in the fast-paced world of Philadelphia, covering everything from business features to major news stories. But as the demands of the news industry weighed down on me, I began to question if this was the life I truly wanted.
Amid the chaos, I noticed something: business owners were struggling to be seen because their online presence was weak. They needed more than just good press—they needed a brand that would set them apart. So, with a sleeping baby on my chest, I taught myself design, leveraged my storytelling skills, and launched a business.
What began as a side project quickly became a six-figure agency. But as I juggled a demanding career, family, and city life, I realized more wasn’t better. So, I traded the hustle for the quiet luxury of the Tennessee countryside. We bought 12 acres, got some chickens, had a third baby, and I finally found the freedom I had been chasing. I retired my husband, focused on my health, and started focusing on what truly matters.
